The set of tips in this article, contains some of the best advice for helping a good organic gardener become a great organic gardener.

Take the proper approach to preparing your garden beds or setting up your containers with a healthy rich soil.  A great way to start is with your own compost or purchasing quality organic compost and organic fertilizers.  Also, you can either use old dried leaves and small bits of twigs and dried grass to use for mulching, or buy commercial mulching materials. Many established gardeners say that the best gardens start with seeds, as opposed to cuttings and seedlings

For the beginner gardener, the best way to start is by gathering knowledge.  You should do research, and start collecting your own resources such as gardening books and magazines for beginners, and also have your favorite on-line websites to go to for information.  This would ensure that you have easy access to information when you need it. You also need information on the tools that you will need to be using in your garden.  Last but not least, you need to know about any chemicals that you may be using.  However, if you’re growing an organic garden, you will have much less exposure to chemicals.  If you miss this easy step, you run the risk of harming yourself due to the chemicals that can irritate your skin.
