1. Why Grow Broccoli?

2. Selecting the Right Variety 

There are several varieties of broccoli, but the most common ones include: 

Green Calabrese: The classic variety with large heads and thick stems. 

Broccolini: A hybrid of broccoli and Chinese broccoli, known for its tender stems and small florets. 

Sprouting Broccoli: Produces numerous smaller heads rather than one large central head. 

3. Preparing Your Garden 

Location: Choose a spot with full sun (at least 6 hours a day) and well-draining soil. 

Soil Preparation

Broccoli prefers a soil pH of 6.0 to 7.0. Test your soil and amend it with lime if it’s too acidic. 

Add organic matter like compost to enrich the soil with nutrients.
