From time to time, I’m sure many of you have come across the term hydroponic gardening. Many think it is too complicated or calls for advanced gardening skills, or just decide to stick to what you know which is growing your plants in soil.
The simplest way to explain hydroponics is, that it is growing plants in a nutrient rich liquid medium rather than growing your plants in soil. The nutrient rich liquid provides the plant with all the precise nutrients it needs to grow, in the exact amounts that it needs. The plants are planted in gravel, perlite, or coconut fibre, only for support and stability, with the pots suspended in the liquid.
