Apart from being delicious and handy to take with you, bananas are very nutritious. They contain potassium, dietary fiber, calcium and Vitamin A and B6. Some of the minerals they contain are magnesium, manganese and copper. They are great boiling them when they are green, or eating them on their own when ripe, and wonderful added to smoothies and other dessert recipes.
