Growing your own herbs for tea is an immensely satisfying project for any gardener. How lovely to sit in your garden, on a beautiful evening and sip tea made from freshly picked leaves from herbs growing in your garden.
You can use one herb or mix a few to produce your very own special brew. You can have the choice of serving hot tea or a refreshing iced tea. Some very popular herb teas are mint, lemon grass, rose hips, basil , lavender and chamomile.
When picking your leaves to make tea, it is best to pick them early in the morning just after the dew has dried off and before the sun gets hot.
