Stop Pulling Up Your Lettuce Plants

Lettuce contain lots of vitamins and minerals.  Vitamin B6, A, K and C. Some of the minerals are iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Most gardeners grow lettuce.  It takes about seven weeks from seed to salad.  It grows in a rich, moist soil with a pH of about 6 to 6.8. So be sure to add add compost or some other organic matter and water regularly.

Harvest your looseleaf lettuce in a way that it will keep regrowing for a second cutting.  Cut the outer leaves off with a scissors and the lettuce will resprout in a couple weeks.
